Construction site visit

We have noticed through all these years that one of the most important factor to a successful project is to follow the construction phase with great attention. So many times, things change on site per new conditions, building inaccuracy or clients review. Decisions are being taken without the lighting designer inputs.

Most of the time, to their defense, the changes are not directly related to lighting. However, if a matte painted wall is now a shiny tiled wall, the lighting effect will definitely be affected and it will differ from the lighting design intent.

The lighting designer should be present to construction meetings and stop by project sites to be kept in the loop, this will allow the project to unfold successfully.
